Michelangelo's studio in the exhibition “Michelangelo: the master of the Sistine Chapel”

Visitors will also be able to see drawings, studies and projects by Renaissance artist Michelangelo. The large-scale reproduction of the artist's studio is one of the highlights of the section, which presents giant engravings of the works, letters, manuscripts and documents on the frescoes' development process.
The replicas of the selected sculptures reflect different phases of Michelangelo's career. Among them is one of the first pieces produced by the artist, “Madonna of the Staircase” (1491), which depicts the Virgin Mary sitting on a staircase holding and covering her son while he sleeps.
“Centauromachy” or “The battle of the centaurs” refers to the phase in which asia mobile number list Michelangelo began to highlight nudity as a way of representing beauty. The certified replica of “Madonna of Bruges” (1501/1504), featured in the film “Masterpiece Hunters”, starring George Clooney, is also part of the exhibition.
Known as Michelangelo's last unfinished work, the “Pietà Rondanini” (1552) is another standout piece. All items in the exhibition are approved by Italian institutions that preserve Michelangelo's artistic legacy. The 9 replica sculptures were produced in Florence, Italy, by the Gipsoteca dell'Istituto D'Arte di Firenze.

The MIS Experience offers free admission to the public every Tuesday. Visitors will also be able to check out “Michelangelo: The Master of the Sistine Chapel” for free on 02/15, 03/15, 04/19, Wednesdays, sponsored by the company B3.
The exhibition “Michelangelo: The Master of the Sistine Chapel” is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of the State of São Paulo, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of São Paulo, MIS Experience, Boldly Go and Deeplab Project, through of the Federal Culture Incentive Law. Co-produced by SEE Entertainment, the show is presented by Rede D'Or, has master sponsorship from NTT DATA and XP, gold sponsorship from Laboratório Cristália and UOL, silver sponsorship from the companies Occam, Invisalign and ZAP.
