Agricultural income increases by 3.37% in 2017 to 1,998.38 million in the Commun

The value of the Community's agricultural income in 2017 stood at 1,998.38 million euros, in current terms, which represents an increase of 3.37% compared to the previous year. This is the estimate made in January 2018 by the Studies Service of the  Department of Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development .

The Production of the Agricultural Activity Branch has increased by 1.68% in value, due to the Email Data increase of 1.33% in the quantity produced and 0.35% in the price. This increase in value of the Agricultural Branch is justified, fundamentally, by the growth in the value of Animal Production.

This has increased, above all, due to the rise in the value of eggs, 24.49%; beef production, 10.84%; birds, 7.07%; pork, 7%; and equine, 2.60%.




For its part, the slight decrease in the value of Vegetable Production, of 1.76%, is a consequence of the decrease in the value of citrus and non-citrus fruit trees, despite the increase in the value of vegetables.

The expenses of current means of production, for their part, have experienced a slight decrease of 0.48% in 2017, as a consequence of the 0.75% decrease in the quantities consumed and the 0.28% increase in prices. paid by farmers and ranchers compared to 2016.
